1 Algorithm & Filters
BFM has multiple algorithm types built for each mode (Bazaar, Ebook, Craft Flip, etc.). The active algorithm is shown on the Flip UI, which you can resize or reposition from the "Configure Element Screen" after pressing Right Shift.
Profit Range
Sets the range of flips displayed. For most users, keep this at 0 to 10B to show everything. Only lower the cap if you specifically want to filter out high-value flips for some reason.
Budget
Per-flip spending cap. Recommended starting values based on your purse:
- Under 5M purse: Set budget to 5M. Do not use Auto or profit will be inconsistent.
- 10-20M purse: Use 10M budget.
- 25-35M purse: Use 15M budget.
- 60M+ purse: Use 20M budget.
Auto budget reads your purse balance and adjusts. Only use it if your purse is below 5M and you can not commit a fixed amount.
Success Rate
Calculated based on how quickly an order might fill. The lower this setting, the higher the potential profit but the longer it takes to complete. Adjust based on how patient you are.
Category Filter
Restricts which item categories BFM scans. Options: ALL, Farming, Foraging, Mining, Combat, Dungeons, and Misc. Keep this on ALL by default. It exists for variety if you want to focus on a specific category.
Buy Mode
Some macro modes support dual buy modes:
- Order: Places limit orders. More profit, slower execution.
- Instant: Buys and sells at market price. Fastest speed, lower margins.
Use the default per-mode setting unless you have a reason to change it.
Refresh Mode
- Automatic (5-60s): Configurable timer. Keep at 5s for best results.
- Manual (keybind): Refreshes only when you press the key. Almost nobody uses this.
Preferred Flips
This is how you push past the 10-15M/h profit mark. By adding your own custom flips, you can earn significantly more.
- Whitelist: Only execute these specific flips.
- Prefer: Shows your preferred items on top, executes them first, then continues with algorithm-chosen flips.
- Blacklist: Excludes specific items from ever being flipped.
2 HUD & Layout
Press Right Shift to open the BFM HUD.
Click the B F M initials and a small dialogue will appear. From here you can see quick settings and the "Configure Screen Elements" chip, which lets you move your on-screen elements around or resize them. You can also save presets by hovering over the PLUS in the taskbar.
Config Screen
Press K to open the config screen. This shows detailed information and configuration options for the macro: custom delays, break time intervals, and more.
3 Macro
This is what BFM is at its core. Multiple modes and QOL features built around automated flipping.
Macro Modes
- Bazaar Macro: Creates buy orders, claims them, sells. Occasionally cancels under/overcut orders.
- Ebook Macro: Instabuys books from the Bazaar, combines them in an anvil, instasells for moderate profit.
- Craft Flip Macro: Instabuys materials from the Bazaar, crafts an item, lists on AH.
- PF-AH Macro: Same as Craft Flip but upgrades items via Hex (requires Hex) to be more competitive at a lower price while still profiting.
- AF-AH Macro: Buys from AH to craft RNG-based items (Terminator, Wither Armor, etc.) that can not be bought from BZ or crafted from BZ materials alone.
- BZ-NPC Macro: Buys from the Bazaar then instantly sells to an NPC. Profitable when gaps exist between BZ price and NPC sell price.
Keepalive Command
Use .keepalive buy/sell {item} to keep an order alive by automatically relisting when it gets undercut or overpriced.
Controls
- Press O to activate/deactivate the macro. This should be configurable in Minecraft's keybind settings.
- Change macro modes from the BFM HUD only (same activation key).
- To stop the macro, move around or press Esc.
Be Aware
Running the macro for extended periods may attract staff attention. If you have tips on how BZ macro checks work, submit them at the new-macro-checks channel. Generally the macro can be left unattended for long periods.
4 Chat Commands
Type these in Minecraft chat:
.bfmversionShows the current BFM version you are running.
.bfmversionsShows the previous 3 versions and the current version.
.bfmretryRetries authentication.
.rollto {1-3}Rolls to a specific version from the list shown by .bfmversions.
.bfmdebugShows macro debug information.
.keepalive buy/sell {item}Keeps an order alive by relisting when under/overpriced.
5 Troubleshooting
BFM Does Not Load
- Confirm you are using Fabric Loader with Minecraft 1.21.1
- Verify Fabric API is installed in your mods folder
- Make sure you are running Java 21 or newer
- Remove conflicting mods one at a time to isolate the issue
- Check
%appdata%/.minecraft/bfm/logsfor error messages - If nothing helps, open a support ticket in Discord with your log file attached
Verification Popup Not Appearing
- Ensure you have an active license purchased on the website
- Check your internet connection. BFM needs to contact the license server on startup
- Restart your game and try again
- Make sure you are not using the Modrinth launcher
- BFM only supports Windows. macOS and Linux are not supported
Still Stuck?
Open a support ticket in the Discord server. If it is verification related, include your bootstrapper logs found at C:\Users\{User}\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\bfm\logs. Include your latest instance log as well, even if the problem is not verification related.
